my hours at my college library

This was written only for a purpose of timepass and avoid boredom, it has no relevance to any person or character. Any resemblance to any real person should be considered as nothing but only a coincedence.

I was sitting in this library to obviate from the merciless boiling heat. The afternoon was really very hot and i had gone to library to sit in the AC in read some good books but after coming here my wish to read books became deemed and I finally started to write anything on anytopic. Because of my limited imagination, I could not thing beyoud what I was seeing and as a result I started myself on library.

temple of education, yes, that is waht the word library stand for. Lost ? well, this is the first time when i am writing about library while sitting in the library. Currently sitting in the middle of the last row, right under the rotating facn, I am feeling like, I am sitting in an unmanned lonely place because few students are here, but believe me, this library of daiict sees very few days when its empty from the pedantic creatures of this institution. Disorganised, yes, that's what this kind of writing is called, but from a man like me, expecting any better that this is nothing except dumbness and a signal of obtuseness basking in your brain. Well where was I ? yes, library. OK. A place meant for study, silent, concentrated and focused study. A place which is assumned to enhance one's power to gain and understand things with the pin-drop silent environment. A place where you find plenty of books covering whole range of subjects from humanity to science to life and culture to politics and news of every corner of the world and last but not the least, a place where you can sit in the calmness and pen an organised, imaginative and creative essays when you find your room at daiict hostel to be heated up by the merciless sun. Library of daiict is just one of the many other libraries of the world. This is a huge library. By 'huge' I mean, it has vast collection of books from all areas essential for an ICT graduate. Moreover collection of novels and books on philosophy, humanity, thoughts and biographies is also one of its kind. Without any discord, I must accept the highness and greatness of this library from the point of quantity and quality of books. In addition to that, this library also has collaborations with one of world's best libraries. Association with institutions like ACM, IEEE etc. add another gem in this library. This association enables students to freely browse and access and read the journels and papers. This must be consider as one of the best part of this library as these jounels and papers cost too much to be affordable by a normal student. And reluctant students will never be bothered to read them if they are not freely available. The library also buys a large number of magzines regularly. Needless to say, there i no pint in any argument raising question over literature that this library offers to its users.
But as having a quality literature is never adequate for a library, if it does not provides a required enviornment to use it. This perhaps is one of the reasons as to why daiict library has
AC cabins, hundreads of chairs and long balanced well furnished tables, neat and clean rooms and walls, even the fans and lights, computers to browse its catalogue and flower-pots to make the air clean, healthy and full of essential elements for better breath, like oxygen.
This was all about this libraries literature and unparelled facilities. Now, it will be a bit useful to tel about the kind of people who visits it regularly. Without giving information on this, I feel I will not do any justice to the greatness and highness of this library.
Well, when I was in my first semester. I would come here sometimes and everytime I came here, I fell asleep. Its environment happens to be too calm and healthy for me that it makes me relax and sleepy. Sit here under the fan and feel the change in yourself. I can assure that loom of sleep over the eyes will definitely become evident any sincere fellow. This is probably one of the main reasons as to why people like me prefer to study in hostel-room rather than at library. It becomes more irritating when one sits in a relaxed pose with legs streched or with head down on the table or yawning and the librarian comes to awake you from your dreamland and gentally urges ," Sit properly, this is library." and then he makes his voice little more gental and polite and whispers, "this is not your room". Can't a student be allowed to sit in a comfortable pose if he/she wants to. This irritating eye of librarian sometimes makes me feel that this library is no better than jail. Though I respect the highness of greatness of this library but everytime I have to take proper care from being escaped by the watching eyes. So martinet rules are pathetic. So, beacause of all this, you cant expect to find a person like me in this library. Obviously sometimes, there are exceptions, like today, when I am sitting on the first floor in middle of last row of first room right under the rotating fan.
So, there remains 2 types of people who come here regularly. One of these two is extremely pedantic people, for whom, the books are the only and ultimate way of learning and concentration of them remaine unconquered by the extra-calm-calmness of this library. They walk very fast and always have one or two books in their handor they carry a bag. Most boys of this category carries books in hand, but the girls of this category rarely carry books in their hand. The girls generally have a bad with one strip which they tuck on their right shoulder. They walk quickly and as they come near the vicinity of the library, their sincerity increase linearly. The deep thought process eating their mental energy starts becoming vaguelessly perspicuitly visible on their facial screen with their eye brows little strained. Well, they cross the gate of the library quickly and then they sit on one of the empty chairs before computer, open iexplorer and browse the catalogue. They dont waste time in thinking the right key-words, or the name of the author, rather they hit the keys with little more pressure than usual and key in the words without looking at the keyboard. It is their regular practice and so, they are habitual to the typing on the keyboard and they dont need to look down at the keys for this. They quickly filter the search results and note down the book-number of the book chosen and then make a beeline to the right shelf among many other shelves of books. Now, their next stpe depends on the outcome of this whole book searching process. If they dont like the book, they again make a beeline to the computers and repeat the whole process otherwise then they start search for a suitable place to read it. They, naturally, dont waste time in meetings and meaningless discussions, rather they quickly decide a vacant seat and starts switching on the lights and fans above that seat, in case they are switched off. In the whole process of switching a fan on, they switch on many other fans and finally they switch off all other unnessarily switch-on fans in one go and it sounds like 'cclkk'.
I have been writing continuously for sometime and it is the fifth page to be filled up. Rest has become the necessity for my hand now. So, now I am taking a 2 minute break. -------
Welcome after the break! Lost? dont bother about it. Well after choosing a seat, they place their hand inside their pockets to bring their cellphone out and put them onto the table. They read concentrately, and even though they look here and there, their face says that there is something else going in their mind, probably thoughts to grasp a concept which they usually call 'fanda'. Their eyes and face moving in right or left does not mean that they are perturbed by the environment. It is their habbit to focus on fanda, they also exibit this property while speaking this sentence. They generally give little more pressure on the word 'fanda'. They love to prepare notes or get zeroxed of some of the chapters. They also use different registers for different subjects. and dont even try to mingle and entagle all subject in only one register. They are generally proactive in underlining paragraph and after excercising all of the above activities, they feel pround on themselves and happiness of being studious sheds the clouds of happiness of tension and become visible on their lips or facial area near it. After sometime of study and feeling happiness, they stand up and walk slowly and stealthily towards the sofas, their new aim is to pick some magzine and take a dose of the knowledge outside the domain of their books or research interests.

My hands are really tired now. Though my typing speed is pretty good and earlier I had thought that I could type the all 13 and 1/2 pages, but now after 6 pages, I have no will to write any more. I had written this to avoid boredom in library. The afternoon was really very hot and i had gone to library to sit in the AC in read some good books but after coming here my wish to read books became deemed and I finally started to write anything on anytopic. Because of my limited imagination, I could not thing beyoud what I was seeing and as a result I started myself on library. Well, I will very soon upload the image of left pages.

nostalgia of college memories

It was when I was browsing an orkut community of my senior batch, who had to say good bye to our college just few days ago after 4 years of engineering, that the feeling of nostalgia gave me a kick. I was going through the posts in the community and a sense of sentimentalness and strong bathetic expression arising from the heart of my seniors was ubiquitously present in all the posts. It made be dumb-founded for a moment. Is that the way one feels when it comes to say bye ? I have seen many such occasions in my life when a person leaves family or something he loves most, I have seen tears rolling down the eyes, but still these post were enough to convice me that leaving a college is tougher than anything else I have ever envisioned. The guys discussed for batch momento for 3 months, trying to include all opinions in final momento, endeavouring to make it best momento of the world, just to look at it 10 years later to draw a nostalgic feeling, to revive the reminisceces of the 4 years, feared by the fact they might forget a bit of them. I am really struck and nervous by all that. Is that feeling going to hit me after 8-9 months from now. No, I really dont want to feel like that, I cant say good bye to anything, let it be anything, thats the toughest moment I ever face. Later I browsed through their blogs and see what ,,, someone is wrinting of the first day he came to daiict, and to someone, the day he first performed on stage became the long lasting memory, or to someone it was the good time he had with his friends, and to someone the foodcourt in night was the thing never forgottable, the galls, gaming, bunking lectures, screwing grades, night outs, parties, functions and last but not the least prof., everything , everything of it was like piching somewhere to them, brewing a feeling that daiict was best part of their life. 4 years to them were like 4 pals or even shorter which just escapes in one wink. Probably these memories are the most beautiful gift daiict could ever give them. Someone has said this --- jab waqt gujar jata hai to aur bhi hasin ho jata hai ... That's very true. Best of luck to all my seniors in all their endeavours
